Hello friends.... i am Vasu Birla .. and today i am starting a new Segment that is Switch Configration so in this part we will know that how can we assign an IP addresses to switches... so Let’s start...... How to Give IP address to Cisco Switch  As we know that switch does work on layer 2 means Data link layer of the OSI model than how we actually need to assign the ip address in switches so answer is if you want to perform any management task like if you want to access that switch remotly from anywhere and want to configure or want to update something so for these tasks you need a IP address so lets understatnd it with pics.  1.  first of all we must have a Cisco Switch and some PCs.  so suppose we have a one switch but make sure nothing should be connected first of all.
